Mirror Day

"Enough"
I told her and she told me
Enough trying to fix how life should be

You are neither the hero nor the victim
You are not the chosen light from a wide spectrum

Said the girl inside,
Said the one who always tried to hide

Fake a smile here and a smile there,
Put on the custom of happiness everywhere.

It fits you perfectly!
She said in a sarcastic way

I faced her in the mirror..
With plenty of words and nothing to say

You were right little girl,
I was neither the hunter nor the prey
I was an in-between as we are used to
I was a maybe as always
And let's just call it a "Mirror Day"
